“It’s been tradition to host this dinner as a thank-you to everyone who has helped prepare for (Dance Marathon),” Cabinet sponsor Sarah Wolff said.

According to Wolff, the event is completely student-run and is one of the biggest events Cabinet hosts.

Matthew “Matt” Klineman, chairperson for the event and senior, said all Cabinet members have worked to find items for the auction and prepare for the dinner. Klineman also said they have made changes to the dinner this year.

“It’s going to be higher end this year, for $5 you get a full meal from Biaggi’s,” Klineman said.

According to Klineman, there will also be casino games for entertainment at the event.

He said, “this year we’re stepping it up in terms of quality.”

Klineman said they have been advertising throughout the community because they want them to be involved in Dance Marathon.

“A lot of our fundraising comes from students but this (dinner) is a great way for the community to get involved as well,” Klineman said.

They have advertised through the Current in Carmel, social media and various school newsletters.

He said, “We’re trying to get the word out as best we can.” By Madison Adzema.
